Incheon's transport runs on three tiers: the subway is the everyday workhorse, clean, punctual, and cheap enough that a single ride costs a fraction of a taxi. Buses fill the gaps between subway lines and reach the islands. Pay with the same rechargeable T-money card you'll grab at any station kiosk. For door-to-door comfort, the official taxi ranks are everywhere, but they're the splurge, use them when the subway shuts down or you're hauling luggage. First-timers should download the KakaoMap app. It shows real-time arrivals in English and works offline once you preload your route. Avoid the unofficial "limousine" touts outside terminals, they'll quote flat fares that can triple the metered rate. Instead, head straight to the clearly marked taxi queue or follow the subway signs for the Airport Railroad if you're heading into central Incheon or Seoul. It runs frequently until late evening.
